How far along? 26 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain? 10 lbs. Perhaps this will be the week I stop keeping track ;)
Cravings? Still clementines. I have four with me at work today.
Movement? YES! So many kicks last night when Kyle put his iPhone, bumping Black and Yellow, against my belly. The kid has good taste (and rhythm).
Best moment this week: Until Monday, I would have said "new haircut." But, um... KATE MIDDLETON.
Worst moment this week: Made the mistake of walking 2 miles yesterday in the gorgeous weather. Attack of the killer sciatica!
I don't know if it's the mild temps or the new 'do or what, but in spite of the physical discomforts, I'm really happy right now. Over the weekend I had two inches chopped off my hair, which was reaching Sister Wife status, and even decided to dip my toe back into the world of side swept bangs. I painted my nails a sparkly light pink and I've let myself sleep in a little bit. It's the little things! Kate Middleton got pregnant, and I'm (creepily) excited to see her maternity clothes and find out when she's due. Life is just pretty beautiful right now, you know?
Confession: Kyle is widening his eyes in shock as he reads this, because that is not the tune I'm singing at the end of the day. By six or seven PM lately, I'm either getting grumpy or snoozing on the couch. So, just keeping it real... my sunny morning mood doesn't exactly have staying power. As Baby Zone sagely puts it: At 26 weeks pregnant, you may feel exceedingly happy one day; overwhelmingly tired the next.
In my case, it's currently both, every day. Maybe this is good prep for life with a newborn? Happy but sore and exhausted? I'll take it.
