How far along? 34 weeks
Total weight gain? 16 lbs.
Cravings? Grapefruit juice. Water. Fruit snacks.
Movement? Getting a little less jabby and a little more roll-y. Please, little one, just settle down and get comfy for these next six weeks.
Best moment this week: Our bathroom AND office are now painted Valspar "Belle Grove Victory Blue," which I absolutely adore. GO KYLE GO!!!
Worst: Heartburn. Occasional nausea. Sciatica. This is a kind of like the first trimester, except a lot rounder.
Okay, okay. I absolutely promise that photos of the nursery (and, just for good measure, the bathroom and the office) are coming soon. The thing is, while all this work is in progress, there are an awful lot of paint cans and rollers and old sheets and sanders laying around. It's less Beatrix Potter and more Tim the Toolman Taylor right now. So bear with me... before Bunny arrives, I'll share.
I cannot wait to eat a regular-sized portion again. If I throw caution to the wind and chow down on as much mac and cheese as I want, I feel like I'm literally going to have a heart attack -- there just isn't room in there!
My weekly appointments start on Friday, so that's awfully exciting. I like these visits with my doctor and nurses -- it's fun to hear Baby's heartbeat, and now that March is drawing close, we're getting down to some nitty gritty details about labor and delivery. I find medical information really fascinating, and the more I can get, the better.
In other news... wasn't yesterday just the rudest weather you've ever seen? Cold and drippy and icy and cloudy and just blah. I hate the end of January. It's still right smack-dab in the middle of winter, without even a shred of hope for spring. Christmas is long gone, New Year's resolutions have usually fallen by the wayside already (not for us though, no sir, January's intention is looking good!). It such a drab time. At least February has a hefty dose of love, football, and a groundhog to look forward to. Plus, come Friday, I can officially say I'm due next month.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...
