Bunny: 35/35

How far along?  35 weeks (and, as of today, 35 days until our due date!)

Gender: Chinese gender chart says it's a girl. Mama guesses it's a girl.
Daddy guesses it's a boy, but he and Ted might be outnumbered soon.

Total weight gain? 18 lbs. Yikes!

Cravings? Vanilla soy milk. Vanilla ice cream. Mexican and Thai food always sound super tasty too.

Movement? Yes, but definitely less crazy. Cramped quarters in there.

Best moment this week: Office baby shower. Also, nursery, nursery, nursery.

Worst: Heartburn. Sciatica. Swelling. Ewwwww.

Bunny is now around 19 inches long and weighs in between a whopping 5-6 pounds, according to most websites. That's about the size of a honeydew melon. Which is very appropriate, because I've suddenly been confined to the couch with a severe case of fatigue and thus life has turned into a gigantic "Honey Do" list for Kyle.

Who, by the way, will be (tied for) the best dad ever -- I can already tell :)

One set of soon-to-be-grandparents (his) are visiting this weekend, along with a sister and niece -- so we're doing lots of tidying. Which means, hopefully, I'll get a few photos of the nursery and other rooms right before they arrive. There's a little sneak peek below though...

My coworkers threw a joint baby shower for us and another due-in-March couple last week, and it was so much fun! One woman shared a Hindu tradition, where partygoers put a bangle on the expectant mother's wrist and offer advice or a blessing. Look how wise I am now (ha), and how blessed our little one will be!

Of course my dogs are photo-bombing... Teddy looks worried!

We still need to get a few things -- a stroller frame, a changing pad and cover, a billion other little things I'm forgetting -- but we're pretty well prepared at this point. There's a group of bloggers due in March that I chat with often, and one actually just had her baby! He was five weeks early, but he's doing great. So that was wild. I guess it really could happen anytime, but I'm not counting on an early arrival. This kid does have half of my genes, after all.

I really am going to try to stop complaining about the end of this pregnancy. Yeah, it's not the most comfortable state of being... but in the grand scheme of things, it's a tiny sliver of time. Maybe it'll be the only time. Even if we have a bunch of kids -- and there are moments where I think I'd like three, four, five, six -- I will only have a handful of chances to experience this. It really is a pretty cool thing to grow a baby.

So yeah, enough about my heartburn.

Bunny is waving hello by way of my belly button...

Happy Tuesday!
